Just Chillin

I just want to send a shoutout to the graduating class of 2004, for Millersville University. Tim, Selma, Tony D, and Jon. I probably forgot about a lot of folks, but just email me and I will give you a special shout out.

In other news, stay tuned for some site updates in the Services section. The PDA section will be updated with information from the workshop and then there will be other updates to help out some of you who are looking for a website designer. Until then, peace and blessings.

?

I call this "?"
Today was not my best of days. I just have been left with rain in the foreground of things and life in the background making sense of nothing. Think like a spring just ran a monsoon upon me. Felt like I was going somewhere, only to be knocked down so quickly. Thinking that I was on the verge of moving up, only to be boxed in the ears by every speaker. I gather my things quickly hoping that the storm would come later not sooner, and I was left unprepared still. Now drained of all of my energies, I leave a message to those who would read it, thinking that there would be at least one who would understand.

Tonite I dared to listen to the rain and ? God. There were no answers to behold. No psalms to say. There were no melodies that were subtle enough to wash away the pain of acceptance. I ran so far forward I ended in reverse order. I wish to imagine a number greater than me, yet even that is subtracted by one. My unhealthy habits can no longer be maintained, and healthy ones have no bones to rely on. The storm from hours ago still paints my windows with a glow familiar. The memories of nights past where rain was my companion, music and drops were my warmest embrace. I sink back into those memories not by choice, but by sleep. My dreams left me while I was awake. And even then, there was no one to catch up with them.

Tomorrow will be, is, cannot see. It is what it is not. I no longer await it. The day's present was a gift of desire toyed with by Jack Frost. It seems that even then the night would not end, the storm would not be, and yet I am left with a ? of why this had to be. It is. Tomorrow will be. Might I remember today and tonite when tomorrow would fly by the same. I see no reason to await either. I am walking forward into the rain soaked evening, yet my morning never came. Why then would I remain here with myself? It is a ? for which I will only answer in the breaking sun.

An Old New Interest - Comics

Hello all. I have been reading the comics again. It is something that I haven't done in a good while. the comic that I have been reading is Get Fuzzy. It is quite funny. Espically the cat. He has a personality that reminds me of every cat that I know of. This is just a cat that gets to act out on the things that it believes. Gotta love comics. Anything can happen. well anyways, here is one day's strip. Enjoy.

Listening To..

Imagine this
You are trapped inside your dreams
Left alone in your mind you get paper cuts from the seams
The left hand tries to rescue the right
Yet both feel deserted on the body of this human
Your eyes tear from the pollen of life
You are allergic to it
Sneeze and cough your way thru this season
Just a minute ago you were sleep
Now you are awake
But can't catch yourself breathin
Calling it what you see
Be presented a heathen
Draggin your clothes and theories in check
Someone called the phone
This imagination has left...

Please man
I am appeased with the deft acts of these
He is pleased
Yet I cannot see past my today
He has been relieved
But if I imagine any more I am left wanting the present of yesterday
How does one say goodbye
To a future not yet had
Keeping your mind on Him
Imagine yourself continuing the plan
Moving to a new land
Leaving hearts in prosperous sand
Turn to the action and become the first man
The news shows you
Not yet but I imagined it again
I am listening to the beats of my heart
My mind keeps me up
Start to realize that change is upon me
Listening to the friction in the near
The distance is no longer a concern
Now imagine yourself within all of this
Listening to God as He refines you.

My Reasons

I have been talking to a good deal of people over the past few weeks, and a lot of them have seen my website and asked why have chosen this format with which to display my talents online. The reasoning for me is that I have always used this format, in some way or another. The biggest difference with the website now, than in the past, is that I have the help of Blogger.com to create a more personal, interactive front page. The rest of my website is the same as normal. Maybe it isn't, but to me I have done the same thing for the last 4 or 5 years. This is a format that I think most websites should follow, to amke a connection by being a connector to the people that are looking at you.

Another reason for this type of format is the ease in adding new articles, without changing the whole website. In the recent past, I have been one to change the whole website, just to add one thing. I can say that this site will change again, it just will not be as frequent (every 9 months or so). I have a large interest in biblical studies, handheld computers, and basketball. I also love my family and want them to also have a means to see what is going on with me. This lends to a website that has a ton of information that can pass through it. Works for me to do things like this, ya know?

I know that there are some that say that my website is not as professional as they would like to see. Go design your own (seriously). In order to be a success, you have to be applicable to your publics. I would like to think that this website is a success, either because you like what I am doing, or because you have questions about what I am doing. My portfolio is still fillled with enough bling to keep that crowd happy, but sometimes, you have to be able to ease people into those fancy things. It doesn't mean that I am not being flashy (see the side menu here); but it does mean that I will pick my spots. Like any good basketball player, you dont pass all the time, you pass when it will produce results. That is what I am going for, the pass that leads to a score.

It is a new year for me, I don't have much of a goal for 25 just yet. I will leave that for when I get to my next book of poetry. In the meantime, I will use this website like a game of jacks and just pick up things bit by bit until this website is truely taking its readers to the next level. Cause who really likes to stay on twoseees. 8>)

New Searching

Hello all;
I know that it has been a good while since I have last posted. But here is a good chance to update:

I have just finished doing a search for the Book of Jubliee and the Ethiopian Bible after watching a program on the History channel Saturday night. Kyera and I watched the program and we both were more interested in these books that were no included within the tradional Protestant cannon. I have to say that after reading a good deal of many of the books, that there could be some debate still as to what was accepted and want was not. But, it is interesting the still.

Next annocuncment: today is my b-day. I go up another year today. Pardon the excitment, it is 310am.

Finally, I am tired. I will write more once I get to a less busy side of the day. Peace and blessings to all.

Thinking and Speaking

I have to apologize for my infrequent writing lately. I have been dealing with some changes within my life that have kept me a bit more busy than I usually would like to be. Even right now, it is after 4am and I am still awake. I really have to stop those after 6pm naps. They just make me too wired for the rest of the night.

Update: the PDA Workshop is still going on. Click here for details

I went to a business card swap last week. I am hoping to get some time to just let loose some of the companies that I was able to chat with. I may even have some business with them coming soon, so stay tuned for those updates.

A brother that I ministered with in Philly has his solo debut album coming out today. Da T.R.U.T.H. is his name and his CD is titled The Moment of Truth. Pick it up at your local music store. If they don't have it, you can go to www.crossmovement.com to purchase it. Provident Bookstores are carrying the CD, and his album release will be this Saturday at Sharon Baptist Church in Philly @ 6:30pm. I encourage you to go out and hear him. Think Eminem went gospel and you have Da T.R.U.T.H.

In other news, if you own a Palm, check out Palm Bible Plus. It is a great program and free. There are a ton of bibles, commentaries, and hooks into other dictionary programs that will help you get the most out of your handheld. Check out the website here: it was designed by your's truely so please give it a look.

I think that will be all for now. Stay tuned, as I will keep adding content, and letting you in a little bit more with who I am. Peace.

Flattery in Imitation

Palm Addict
This is an article that I wrote for the Palm Addict website. There you can submit some thoughts that you might have on particular palm issues or whatever that comes to mind. There was even a series of posts on cats and thier owners. Granted, even though it is a palm site, I have learned a lot from it in a short time of visiting it. I wanted to post the article here as well. It is just another piece of who I am. Hope that you enjoy it. :)

I know that I am probably late in sending this email, but I did want to say on how Palm Addict has helped to change my life. Before PA, my website was my main means of communicating on the web. I used Flash to display some pictures and talk about my website design business. I then moved into poetry and more pictures. My website was good but not very interactive. In coming to PA, I saw the power of the web to really draw people into a place and create community. The ability to post thoughts and share experiences about using and living with PDAs was not a new idea to me, but it was quite fun. After looking around the site for a while, I noticed the Blogger label at the bottom of the page. I clicked it to see what that was about and saw that I could create a blog. After doing some research on what a blog was and seeing some really good ones (Wes Salmon and Mike Roh’s pages were some of the best I have seen), I decided to add that element into my website. It is safe to say that PA has changed the way that I view websites, especially those that create and foster community. My website, www.antoinerjwright.com, has been live for a god while. I have been posting there here and there. I have even taken another cue from PA and posted some emails that my friends have sent me. I think that a site like PA does very well for giving people a good reason to come online. Reading and sharing thoughts about PDAs have really made the difference for me. Well, that is my end of my PA plug. Keep up the good work PA. I am sure that I will not be the only one to imitate you.

I Reserve

Here is a piece called I Reserve. If you will, think of it as a declaration, a psalm, and a heart's call.

I reserve the right to be speechless
Even when those honored around me speak much
To take my words into context
And create meaning of my own
I reserve the right to close my eyes
Even when the sun is at its highest
To take account of all those around me
And allow the shadow I cast to be warm
I reserve the right to be senseless
Care for nothing and everything all at the same time
To give pause to every thought imagined
And humor to every serious question
I reserve the right to stand
Even when my body gives way to pain and losing hope
The costs of loves lost was known by all but me
But I reserved the table with it I sit
I reserve the right to question
Answer
Poke
And tear
And when the course of my reservation is over
I reserve the right to revisit those memories
And weep for them no more.
